Are X-rays safe during pregnancy?
Generally, X-rays are avoided during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Ultrasound is the preferred safe modality.
What is the difference between MRI and CT scan?
MRI uses magnetic fields and radio waves, while CT scans use X-rays. MRI is better for soft tissues, CT for bones and fast imaging.
Do you sedate children for MRI?
Yes, under pediatric supervision, mild sedation can be given to children to ensure they stay still during the scan.
Do I need to fast before an Ultrasound?
For abdominal ultrasounds, fasting for 6-8 hours is often required. For other types, no fasting is usually needed. Please check with us.
