Are X-rays safe during pregnancy?
Generally, X-rays are avoided during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Ultrasound is the preferred safe modality.
Can I drink water before a pelvic ultrasound?
Yes, a full bladder is often required for a pelvic ultrasound to get clear images of the uterus and ovaries.
What precautions should I take after a contrast scan?
Drink plenty of water for 24 hours to help flush the contrast dye out of your system.
What is the difference between MRI and CT scan?
